You may not yet have heard of Glowie but that’s soon set to change. Hailing from a small town in Iceland, the pop newcomer exploded onto the music scene late last year with “Body”, her track calling for body positivity among young women, with a super stylish video to match that garnered her a shout out from Vogue magazine. The 22-year old followed that up in March with her second single, “Cruel”, a track she penned with Tayla Parx who most recently worked on Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next”. “Wouldn’t the world be so boring if we all looked the same?” says Glowie, of the track. “I want Cruel to inspire anybody suffering hardship in the world to say to themselves, it’s okay to not feel okay sometimes. It’s the hard times that make us stronger.” Currently working on her debut album, we ask the rising star to share the tracks that are inspiring her right now. Get ready to hit repeat.
